8-31-18 Student Mission Briefing

GRYPHON MISSION BRIEFING
For Thursday, August 30, 2018 – L-day
School Mission – Boundless STEM: Learning & Leading
L&N Student Mission – #Own it!

School Ops:
·      Gryphon Swim & Dive Team Athlete/Parent information meeting Tuesday, 9/4/18 6:00 pm, in Commons.  Questions contact Dr. Bretscher

·      Students – only one more day of our painful parking situation this week.  A reminder to please exercise caution if you are parking at The International.  Please walk down the sidewalk.  We realize it is farther, but crossing the railroad tracks is a big safety hazard when not at a marked crossing – and climbing the fence can be dangerous.  Take care of yourselves!

·      Reminder to 10th – 12th grade students:  You need to prepare for reimaging your computer by backing it up this weekend. Here is the schedule – you will be without your computer for up to 24 hours.  They will be delivered back to you as quick as we can get them ready for you.  This is not optional – it is required by the system.
o   Sophomores will be taken up Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept 4 & 5.
o   Juniors will be taken up on Thursday and Friday, Sept 6 & 7
o   Seniors will be taken up on Monday and Tuesday, Sept 10 & 11
Watch your email for more explicit directions.

·      Spirit Week T-shirts are on Sale during LUNCH!  See a representative from the Prom Committee during any lunch to purchase.  Shirts are $15 for S-XL and $2 extra for XXL and over. Orders will be taken this week and next week! Don't delay! See below for shirt designs and colors.

·      A reminder to students with Digital Lab early dismissal permission – you are to report to your assigned digital lab or sign out through the office.  Once you sign out you must leave campus.  Going anyplace else (plaza, another classroom, etc.) means you are in an area without permission and that is subject to discipline.  Don’t lose your privileges – follow our expectations!

·      Lost – a silver necklace with a turquoise-looking ring and stone on it.  Please turn in to office if found.

·      Yearbooks for the 2018-19 school year are officially on sale! You can get yours for $55 ($50 for seniors if you pay at our office) until September 14th. After that, the price WILL go up, so make sure to order yours ASAP from jostensyearbooks.com! Also, follow @STEMYB on Twitter today to keep up with all yearbook news and updates!
