Gryphon Student Announcements for 2/20/14

GRYPHON ANNOUNCEMENTS
For Thursday, February 20, 2014
 “L” Day

·      Gryphon junior Josh Witt has entered a video contest for Tennessee's State Collaborative for Reforming Education, and he needs your vote.  Please take a moment to vote for the video he produced for L&N STEM Academy's use of innovation. https://www.facebook.com/score4schools/app_126231547426086
Once you go to the link, you will need to log in to your Facebook account in order to vote and then you will need to like the SCORE page in order for the vote to count.  You may dislike the page later if you wish.  Deadline to vote is 6:00 p.m. TODAY!

·      Let us hear your comments and suggestions for the new line in the cafeteria.  Do you like it?  Is it efficient?  Ideas to make it better?  Send to Mrs. Ashe.  Along the same lines – help each other be where you should be and doing what you should be doing.  During Early Release yesterday we had a lot of trash left at tables in the Commons and on the Verandah and students all over with too much PDA.  Keep it G rated, folks!

·      Every year Google hosts a Doodle for Google competition.  The grand prize winner gets to have their Doodle displayed on the Google page! For more info, go to: http://www.google.com/doodle4google/start.html
Deadline for submitting your doodle is March 20.

·      Check out the affirmations on @STEMcomps (Twitter)!  At the suggestion of several students, today, Thursday, is official Gryphon Pride Day!  Celebrate being a Gryphon – wear green or yellow and show up on the plaza before or after school for giant selfies to celebrate as a school!  #GryphonNation
