Parent October date reminders

Just a quick reference list of dates/events happening in October - please mark your calendars to join us for as much as possible!

M - 10/5 - Sophomore meeting with Josten's re: ordering class rings, 10:15 - 11:00 in Commons area
M - 10/5 - Senior meeting with Josten's re: ordering graduation supplies, 11:15 -12:00 in STEM space
M - 10/5 - Golf teams (boys and girls) at Regional Match in Elizabethton
R - 10/8 - Fall chorus concert, 7:00 p.m. at Church Street United Methodist Church, free admission
F - 10/9 - end 9 weeks grading period

M/T - 10/12-13 - Fall Break - no school
W - 10/14 - PSAT administration in Depot building beginning at 9:30 (students must have pre-registered)
R - 10/15 - UT Latin Day field trip, must have registered through Latin classes
R - 10/15 - Parent conference night, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Will also have parent information sessions about the new TNReady assessments all students will take this year (repeated every 30 minutes all night long).  Parents will be able to pick up student progress reports as they arrive.  All others will be given out during lunches on Friday (we believe students own their grades - they must make an effort to pick them up by coming to the distribution table in the Commons during lunch.  Those not picked up will be mailed home)

Week of 10/19 - 10/23 Spirit Week sponsored by SGA.  Different school spirit dress up theme every day.  Academic pep rally and Faculty v Seniors flag football game Monday, 10/19, 3:00 - 4:30
Sat - 10/24 - Homecoming Dance, sponsored by SGA, at L&N, 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.

F - 10/30 - Fall PTSA Fundraiser - Haunted STEM Academy!  6:00 - 8:30 p.m.  Games and activities with a "haunted STEM" theme, geared towards children K - 8th grade.  Tell your neighbors!  Bring your friends!
