All
students: Interested in making $20? Come down to G006 on Mondays during
lunch to get your height and weight measured. After that, you'll wear an
acceleromter (a little device that tracks your physical activity) for 7 days
and then we'll hand you a $20 gift card to Walmart! The Fruved team will
be there each Monday, so come on down!
See Dr. Bretscher if you have questions.
·
Students who park off
campus – please be vigilant about locking your car and storing belongings in
the trunk or out of sight. We are
becoming aware of reports of car break-ins in the downtown area. We can patrol our campus lot and have asked
KPD to step up patrols in the Blackstock lot and Grand Avenue, but you can help
by always locking, being aware of your surroundings, and taking
precautions. Don’t give thieves a reason
to believe you have anything valuable in your car!
·
Get out this weekend to
the Rock the First Amendment event to be held at Blount County Public Library,
Saturday, 9/30, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. It’s

welcome. The library will have activities targeted toward kids and teens during
the concert, and they will be giving away door prizes, one of which will be a
Covalence (the L&N students’ band) t-shirt. Four Gryphons are in this band, Carter Manson, Tad Long, Harrison
Hammett, and Gregory Croisdale. Find out more about the event at https://www.facebook.com/events/662940453911010/
