GRYPHON ANNOUNCEMENTS
For Wednesday, Feb 6, 2013
"L" Schedule Day
Enrichment/ Early Release Day
·
Thank you for your cooperation the last couple days. Our school has received preliminary
recommendation to be fully accredited – this is a big deal for a school in only
its second year! The reviewers commented
that in classes they observed and students they interviewed they were very
impressed with the caliber of thought and engagement of our students – you
shine Gryphons!
·
Today is Early
Release Wednesday! We will NOT
dismiss by bells, but by intercom today.
·
Juniors, please remember you
will be taking the TCAP Writing Assessment TODAY! Ms. Norton's L2 English 3
will be dismissed from STEM 3 at 10:25 and need to report to the Media Center
at that time. Ms. Norton's L3 AP English class needs to report to the
Media Center at the beginning of 3rd block and will be a little late to L4.
·
Want to make a friendship or romantic gesture for
Valentine’s day? Support the Prom Committee and buy a carnation for $2 to send
to that someone special. You can order
during lunch in the Commons and fill out a message card. Flowers will be delivered on Valentine’s day
(Feb 14) during Advisory.
·
Feb 4 – 15: Bring canned food and peanut butter
to put in the Second Harvest barrels in the office and Commons. You can also contribute change and dollars at
lunchtime to the Jason Jablonski Memorial Food Drive to benefit Second Harvest
food bank. Every school is judged based
on pounds of food/$ collected per student so we have a chance to show the
bigger schools we are the Gryphons – we’re here and we care!! Please participate.
