 “L” Day

·      L&N Official STEM Academy Spring Fundraiser Shirts and STEM Items  For a TWO-WEEK PERIOD ONLY, you will be able to buy the L&N t-shirts shown at the end of these announcements!! Shirts are $15 each.  Please see the order form for other products and prices (attached to this email).  This year you can also pay for all your L&N STEM gear with PAYPAL or swipe your credit card at various events over the next 2 weeks, including tonight’s student-led conferences and PTSA spring dinner and Bingo night (April 8).  This is also on the school’s and PTSA Facebook pages so point your parents in that direction so they can see, too!

·      STEM 3 is working on a new big project and they are still in need of supplies. Please email Dr. Knox if you can donate tents, hiking sticks, large backpack or a sewing machine. These do not have to be in good condition as we will be using them for parts.

·      Dual Enrollment for 2014-15 Application Session will take place in the Media Center on April 8th at 9a and 10am.  Students who indicated on their registration form will receive a calendar invite from Mrs. Basner and should accept the date and time that works best for their schedule.  Students MUST bring:

o   Completed Hep B form signed by a parent (Located on school counseling website under "forms")

o   $20 application fee, credit or debit card is much easier. Of course we will take cash or check. Checks need to be made out to PSCC.

o   All students will need their Social Security Number

·      Plan now to come to the PTSA’s spring dinner and bingo fundraising night next Tuesday, April 8.  Details to come!

·      Mark your calendars – in honor of the Great Llama Race on the World’s Fair Park on April 5, we will not have classes April 5 or 6!

Clubs/organization news:

·      Chess club meets Wednesday mornings from 8:30 – 9:15 in room 202.

·      Equality club meets Tuesday mornings 8:50 – 9:15 in room 104.

·      Yarn Arts group meets Wednesdays from 4:30 – 5:30 in the Commons Area.  All students and faculty are invited to attend – if you don’t know how to knit or crochet, come and learn!  Bring a project or just some yarn and a crochet hook!

·      Teens for Christ, Monday mornings in room D112
