GRYPHON MISSION BRIEFING
For Tuesday, May 8, 2018 – L-day
School Mission – Boundless STEM: Learning & Leading
L&N Student Mission – #Own it!

School Ops:
·      Students interested in running cross country next school year – there will be interest meetings held Wednesday, May 9.  Choose the time that fits your schedule, either: 8:45 – 9:15 in room 214 in the Station, or 4:40 – 5:10 in the Commons.  Contact Coach Daugherty if you have questions.

·      Huge congrats to Haley Folsom, who graduated with her Associate’s Degree from Pellissippi State Community College last Friday – 2 weeks before she’ll earn her high school diploma from L&N!  For more information, click here for an article from PSCC about it.  Way to go Haley!

·      Congratulations to the STEM Ultimate Frisbee team!  They won the TN State Championship for the 2nd year in a row over the weekend!  Well done team!

·      Students – as we enter the last 2 full weeks of school you should have a good idea where your grades will wind up for the year.  There will be a meeting on Monday, May 14, at 5:30 p.m. in the Commons for all information and registration for summer school courses.  Summer school will run as in years past at the L&N where all students start out working daily on campus and once you’ve made adequate process you can complete the course from home.  Summer school runs from May 29 – June 29 and costs $10 per course.  You may take 2 courses per summer.  Other questions? Come to the meeting on the 14th!

·      Do you need last–minute help studying for end–of–course exams? Do you need to improve your grades? National Honor Society is hosting tutoring sessions from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the STEM Space on Tuesday, May 8, and Wednesday, May 9. You are welcome to stop by at any time!
