GRYPHON MISSION BRIEFING
For Thursday, November 2, 2017 – L-day
School Mission – Boundless STEM: Learning & Leading
L&N Student Mission – #Own it!

School Ops:
·      Good luck to our running Gryphons as the Boys and Girls’ Cross Country teams head to middle TN to run in the state championship meet on Saturday!  Check at the office for the address of the course if you have the chance to get there to see them cross the finish line!

·      Congrats to Lucy Drinnen, Cinna Lockhart, and Reed Freeman, who’s video “Thank a Veteran” just won the ORNL Veteran’s Day Video contest.  This is the 4th year in a row that an L&N team has won this competition!  Here’s a link to their winning video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-v-8BivR6uA

·      And speaking of Veteran’s Day – you’ll be hearing more in Advisory class on Friday about our school field trip along Gay St next week, on Nov 10, to watch the Veteran’s Day Parade live!  This is a great tradition that is unique to our school – looking forward to all students participating!

·      Please join us here at school in the Media Center on Thursday, November 2nd, from 6 to 8 p.m. for an evening of discussion as well as a student-created escape room associated with KCPL and UT's Big Read, Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. Refreshments will be served.

·      Seniors – be sure you reserve your space for the date that works best for you for the Senior breakfast.  This is no cost to you and we expect 100% participation.  Email Ms. Coley if you have any questions.  The link is www.SignUpGenius.com/go/8050844A5A623AB9-class
