GRYPHON ANNOUNCEMENTS
For Tuesday, April 29, 2014
 “L” Day

·      Congratulations to the L&N Junior Classical League who placed 5th overall in their division at the Tennessee Junior Classical League Convention in their first year of attendance!

·      Lots going on this week – come out and support or wish your classmates luck on:
o   Tuesday – spring music concert, band, orchestra and chorus!  At the Holiday Inn Grand Ballroom at 7:00, no admission cost. Come hear them!
o   Wednesday – we’re hosting the Girls in STEM breakfast at the Foundry (by invitation only); track at the KIL Championship again, and yearbooks will be distributed for everyone on the Verandah during Early Release.  A few will be available to purchase for $70 (cash).
o   Thursday – senior STEM symposium – our seniors will be showcasing their hard work from this year at a formal meeting at the Foundry.

·      As we are entering the heavy testing season, please note that except in cases of emergency the guidance office will be closed to students until May 9.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to answering your questions and meeting your needs at the earliest opportunity after this date.

·      SGA ELECTION UPDATE:
o   Today (Tuesday) is SWAG day for elections.  Candidates will be passing out treats and/or trinkets to remind you to vote for them during lunch today.  Please practice professionalism in accepting from candidates and properly disposing of wrappers, etc.
o   Students in grades 9-11 only will be voting on Wednesday for next year's SGA officers. The link below will take you to a table of links for candidate videos. This table is divided into four pages. The first page is SGA Executive Board candidates (everyone votes on these positions), and the following pages are grade specific-candidates. Please watch the videos (30-60 seconds each) on the first page and the page specific to your grade.  Please take the time to watch the videos and ask your candidates questions over the next couple days. Students will vote during lunch on Wednesday. Click here for the link to videos.
