Students – neat opportunity to
experience a different aspect of another culture on Wednesday, Feb 1. This is
completely voluntary, but interested students have the opportunity to
participate in a world wide event of awareness and understanding. World
Hijab Day is an event recognized around the world and celebrates our strength
through diversity, empathy, and awareness. If you would like to
participate, we will have scarves, pins, and support in room 207 from 8:15 am
to 9:15 am on February 1st. If you do not have a scarf, but would like to
participate, don't worry, come on and we'll have extra. Come celebrate
the diversity in our school and community. For more information on this
event, please visit http://worldhijabday.com/. If you want to bring your own scarf, medium
lengths work best. Too much material can
get tangled, and infinity scarves don’t work well.
·
