Students, parents, and teachers, mark your calendars to give the
"gift of life" and participate in our MEDIC blood drive on Monday,
March 27th. Students 16 and over are eligible
to participate. If you're 16 and 120 lbs you may donate with
parental consent. (Please use the form attached to the mission
briefings or come pick one up from Ms. Ellis in the Media Center.)
Seventeen year olds who weigh 110 lbs or more may participate as well and ALSO
need consent this time. (Please be aware that all students 16 and 17 will
need to turn in a parent consent form this time because of a temporary rule
change with MEDIC.) Note:
EVERYONE donating blood must have ID with them as well as a list of
medications if appropriate. Giving blood
will take more than the 15 minutes indicated by the time slot. The time slot is
used to indicate when you should come to sign in with the MEDIC staff. Make
sure you share your plans to donate blood with your teacher if you have a
scheduled class during this time.
Please encourage your family and friends to contribute
during our blood drive. By donating blood, you'll be helping our
community, as well as our school, because MEDIC donates money to our school for
each pint of blood collected. Here's the
link to sign up: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0E4BADA623A20-spring
