For Monday, March 27, 2017 – “M”
day

Early Release Schedule

Don’t forget! Students, parents, and teachers, can give the
"gift of life" and participate in our MEDIC blood drive on TODAY,
3/27! Students 16 and over are eligible to participate. If
you're 16 and 120 lbs you may donate with parental consent. (Please
use the form attached to the mission briefing.) Seventeen year olds who weigh
110 lbs or more may participate as well and ALSO need consent this time.
(Please be aware that all students 16 and 17 will need to turn in a parent
consent form this time because of a temporary rule change with
MEDIC.) Note:
EVERYONE donating blood must have ID with them as well as a list of
medications if appropriate. Giving blood
will take more than the 15 minutes indicated by the time slot. The time slot is
used to indicate when you should come to sign in with the MEDIC staff. Make
sure you share your plans to donate blood with your teacher if you have a
scheduled class during this time. Please encourage your family and
friends to contribute during our blood drive. By donating blood,
you'll be helping our community, as well as our school, because MEDIC
donates money to our school for each pint of blood collected. Here's the link to sign up: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0E4BADA623A20-spring

Kudos to senior Kieran
Phelps for acceptance into the NSLI for Youth program. This summer he will spend 6 weeks in Morocco
studying Arabic. That makes 2 years in a
row the for L&N as last year Riley Hester participated in the same
program and went to Moldova to study Russian.
STEM is truly worldwide!
