10-15-18 Student Mission Briefing

School Ops:
·           Don’t forget – today’s class schedule (in preparation for tomorrow’s ACT for seniors) is:
o   L1 – 9:30 – 10:50
o   L2 – 10:55 – 12:15
o   M3 – 12:19 – 2:05 (students will prefill PSAT answer forms this period)
o   M4 – 2:10 – 3:30
o   Early Release 3:30

·         Heads up – tomorrow, Oct 16, is ACT retake day for seniors only.  Seniors will be testing from 9:30 – 1:00.  Everyone else will report to their M1/M2 classes.  There is a separate email you will receive with class locations and lunches.  Know where and when you are supposed to be and be there!!

·         Congratulations to the Ladies Golfing Gryphons today as they brought home the school’s first ever State placement – finishing as finalists at the state championship over fall break!  Hats off to the team: Madilyn Newman, Emma Patterson, and Sydney Rockwell.  And special shout out to Madilyn Newman for winning the individual champion title!!  Way to go ladies!!

·      Congratulations to the L&N Art Honor Society for winning the People’s Choice Award (again) and 1st Place High School Collaborative at the Oak Ridge Street Painting Festival on Saturday over fall break! NAHS President Savannah Bresler led our team, which consisted of Ayesha and Maryam Ahmed,  Rachel Barrick, Josie Bresler, Jennifer Butler, Kirsten Carter, Kayla Juhl, Piper Liggett, Audrey Moran and Cameron Ramsey. The art was inspired by a photo of Audrey by student Devon McGinley.   Congratulations also to L&N art student Lauren Thompson who won 3rd place in the High School single category! 


Community  & Guidance Ops:
·      College rep visit:  Maryville College representative will be in Guidance 12:15 Monday, October 15.
