· We
know you want to students – yes, you may wear a costume if you wish for
Halloween tomorrow to school. Please
know ahead of time – your costume must still meet KCS dress code (no bare
midriff, shoulders, no advertising for contraband or offensive materials,
etc.). Your costume may not include
anything that covers your whole face or otherwise renders you unrecognizable. We hope you have a happy and safe Halloween!
·
Students,
this Tuesday, October 30th we will be participating in the statewide mock
midterm elections. All students are encouraged to participate in the election
in order to learn more about the voting process. To get more information and to
read more about why voting is so important go to bit.ly/lnmockelection18 . When you vote get
your "I Voted" sticker, take a picture with the sign, and post with
the hashtag #GoVoteTN The results will be announced by the end of the day on
Tuesday.
·
This Tuesday, Oct 30, all students have the opportunity to
hear a performance group from the Chinese National Center for Arts and
Music. They are traveling the US and
will be performing at the TN Amphitheater from 12:30 – 1:30 on Tuesday. If you’d like to see them, complete the short
form linked here. *Note: must be on your knoxschools email to
access. On Tuesday, get your lunch first
– the cafeteria will have box lunches available for purchase you can pick up
quickly and take with you to eat in the Amphitheater as you watch the
performance. This is a big deal. It is the only performance they will give in
Knoxville. We’d like to see as many
students as possible participate.
