School Ops:

·      Spirit week theme today:  Friday – Dynamic Duo day!

o   Reminder – all costumes must meet school dress code (no bare midriff, bare back, must have shoulders, and you may not wear a mask that completely hides/covers your face while on campus)

·      A student has lost his wallet, its brown and has his license in it. Reward 20 dollars. Return the wallet to the office and write your student ID so he may give you your reward.

·      Don’t miss the fall dance, Saturday, October 27!  Everyone is invited!

HOW MUCH: $8 per person, $14 for a couple

At the door, tickets will be $10 per person during the dance (October 27th from 7pm to 10pm).  Dress is semi-formal.

·         Coffee for a Cause today!  SGA will be serving Starbucks Coffee (Donation from Emory Rd. location). Just come by and get a cup and donate what you would've paid for your morning coffee to the cause. We will be accepting cash and check (made payable to L&N STEM Academy). All proceeds go to help those directly affected by the most recent hurricanes. We are also accepting donations of items (Listed Below) to send to the Panama City and Lynn Haven communities. These can be donated tomorrow morning, tomorrow evening, Saturday at the dance, and all day Monday (10/29). 

First aid kit, Gloves, Baby wipes, Toilet paper, Paper towels, Prepared, non-perishable food, Dried beans, Gatorade (Mix)*, Water*, Batteries and flashlights, Garbage bags – contractor grade, Peanut butter, tuna, etc…

·         Are you volunteering or bringing friends to the Haunted Station? Friday night, 6:00 – 8:45.  Costume contest at 8:45 – wait till you see the trophy prize!.

·         MEDIC Blood Drive: Give the gift of life!  Wednesday, October 31^st from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Medic Mobile will be parked in the Plaza parking lot from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Halloween. Donate and save up to 3 lives!!   Every donor gets snacks, a t-shirt, and a coupon for a free appetizer at Texas Roadhouse!

Who can donate blood? 

• Sixteen year olds who are at least 120 lbs (with signed consent [attached])
• Seventeen year olds who are at least 110 lbs (with signed consent [attached])
• All adults, 18 and over (please ask your family and friends!) (NOTE: Parents and teachers go to the front of the line!)

What do you need to know?

 Bring photo ID

• Bring a list of medications, if applicable
• Start hydrating the day before
• Eat a hearty breakfast/lunch before donating

Community  & Guidance Ops:

·    A student representative from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) will be in Guidance during lunch on Friday, Oct. 26.

·      Seniors – one more week to go – TN Promise application deadline is Nov 1.  Don’t miss this chance for money for college!
