· Any sophomore or Junior who
has not yet had their computer reimaged should bring it by room 213 in the
Station first thing Monday morning. It
will be returned to you ASAP. This is
not an option. Seniors have received a
separate email with instructions for their reimaging.
· Today you will follow your
standard 3-lunch schedule for M-days that you have had since the first week of
school. You go to lunch with your M3
block teacher. You should have received
a detailed email already from Mrs. Ashe about the rest of the week.

Now announcing the opening of the L&N STEM
Book Nook! The Book Store and the Coffee Nook have merged to bring you coffee
and school apparel from the same place. Located
in the small hallway connecting the commons to the office. Opening
Tuesday September 11th!! We hope you
stop by! The Nook is also still seeking
help for N2 block – must have a Digital Lab that class. Email S757970@student.knoxschools.org

Students – a reminder:
a few of you seem to have forgotten that Extended Campus forms only
apply if you are with a teacher. Our
campus boundary is the edge of the sidewalk rimming the plaza. It does not extend to the playground by the
Memorial. Once you are on campus you
cannot leave or leave and come back without being with a teacher. Violation is subject to consequences. Please protect the legacy of freedoms that
have been passed on to you by doing what you’re supposed to be doing where you’re supposed to be doing it!
· Spirit Week
T-shirts are on Sale during LUNCH! See a representative from the Prom
Committee during any lunch to purchase. Shirts are $15 for S-XL and $2
extra for XXL and over. Orders will be taken this week! Don't
delay! See below for shirt designs and colors.
Spirit week is October 22 – 26, shirts will be back in time to wear for
the pep rally!
· Tennessee Valley Fair Art Winners: Congratulations
to Margaret Kelley who won 2nd Place for her digital artwork
in the Congressional Medal of Honor Art Competition, and to Aidyn
Parkey for winning second place and Kayla Juhl who
won third place by grade level in the Student Art Competition. Thanks also
to Savannah Bresler, Rawan Ferwannah, Kendal Goodman, Mary Kayla
Harb, and Hila Williford for representing the L&N
with their excellent work. Be sure to see the show in the top floor of the
Jacobs Building when you visit the Fair. Also check out the Photography exhibit
on the first floor, as our students display their work there as well.
Art teacher Ms. Jorgenson is also having an
art exhibition in the South Knoxville Library in September: Captivating
Koi: Images inspired by the Koi Pond at UT Trial Gardens.

Yearbooks
for the 2018-19 school year are officially on sale! You can get yours for $55
($50 for seniors if you pay at our office) until September 14th
(this Friday). After that, the price WILL go up, so make sure to order yours
ASAP from jostensyearbooks.com! Also, follow @STEMYB on Twitter today to keep
up with all yearbook news and updates!
Community & Guidance Ops:
· Applications are now being accepted from junior or senior high
school students to be a participant in the United States Senate Youth
Program. Two Tennessee delegates will participate in an annual
Washington Week in March which includes a variety of events that promote a
unique understanding of the structure of our national government. The Hearst
Foundation also offers selected state finalists a $10,000 undergraduate scholarship.
The student application and instructions for applying are available here. Applications must
be submitted no later than Oct. 29.
