Students – a reminder:
a few of you seem to have forgotten that Extended Campus forms only
apply if you are with a teacher. Our
campus boundary is the edge of the sidewalk rimming the plaza. It does not extend to the playground by the
Memorial. Once you are on campus you
cannot leave or leave and come back without being with a teacher. Violation is subject to consequences. Please protect the legacy of freedoms that
have been passed on to you by doing what you’re supposed to be doing where you’re supposed to be doing it!

Week T-shirts are on Sale during LUNCH! See a representative from the
Prom Committee during any lunch to purchase. Shirts are $15 for S-XL and
$2 extra for XXL and over. Orders will be taken this week! Don't
delay! See below for shirt designs and colors.
Spirit week is October 22 – 26, shirts will be back in time to wear for
the pep rally!

we ae still testing our prototype lunch schedule: 1st lunch goes
from 12:19 – 12:55, 2nd lunch is from 1:00 – 1:35. 3rd block will start at 1:41. We will use this schedule all week (Genius
Hours AND Advisory – you’ll get advisory lunches later this week – click
here to see your Genius Hour assigned lunch).

in the Commons today? (please don’t touch) Do you want to meet an Olympian? Are
you interested in a fun and athletic club sport? Come to the STEM Rowing Team
Interest meeting today, September 6th, 4:45 – 5:15
p.m. in the Commons to learn more about STEM’s newest sport and meet Dr. James
Martinez, 6 time National Champion and World record holder in lightweight
single sculls over 2000 meters! All students and parents are welcome. No

· Reimaging computers for Juniors starts
today! They will be taken up during your
English class. The crew is working so
fast students have been getting them back within one class period, so get it
backed up, turned in, and reimaged (this is normal maintenance). This is not optional – all computers that
were not given new to you this year must be reimaged annually – and no, you do
not have a choice when to turn it in.
o Juniors
will be taken up on today and Friday, Sept 6 & 7
o Seniors
will be taken up on Monday and Tuesday, Sept 10 & 11

Yearbooks
for the 2018-19 school year are officially on sale! You can get yours for $55
($50 for seniors if you pay at our office) until September 14th. After that,
the price WILL go up, so make sure to order yours ASAP from

yearbook news and updates!
Community & Guidance Ops:
· Applications are now being accepted from junior or senior high
school students to be a participant in the United States Senate Youth
Program. Two Tennessee delegates will participate in an annual
Washington Week in March which includes a variety of events that promote a
unique understanding of the structure of our national government. The Hearst
Foundation also offers selected state finalists a $10,000 undergraduate scholarship.
The student application and instructions for applying are available here. Applications must
be submitted no later than Oct. 29.
