·
Be aware there will be road closure and
a little extra traffic around the Sunsphere this morning as local First
Responders pay tribute to those who fell attempting rescues inside the World
Trade Center 17 years ago today. They
will be meeting at 8:30 and climbing the steps at the Sunsphere to equal 110
floors in tribute. Please be respectful of their special remembrance.
· Seniors who have not yet brought their device
for reimaging must do so today. Deliver
it to room 213. Any device not reimaged by
the end of the day today will be taken at the school’s convenience for
reimaging and returned to the student when it is finished. Today is your last chance to have a choice
which period you will be without your device.
Thank you for your cooperation!
· Today you will go to your regularly scheduled
Genius Hour and your teacher sponsor will help facilitate choosing your lunch
time, which will be reported to the office.
Although there is flexibility in choosing, there is none in when you
should be in your activity and when you should be eating. You may eat in the Commons, on the Verandah
or plaza or in a classroom where there is
a teacher present. Thank you for
your professionalism.
· Don’t forget the Book Nook opens today! In
celebration, the first person to order a drink in the morning and during each
block will receive their coffee for free (today only)! The Book Nook is still looking for a worker
for N2. If you have a digital lab and would like to work, please email s757970@student.knoxschools.org
· Did you miss
the interest meeting about rowing? It’s not too late - let us know
you’re interested by filling out the interest form at https://goo.gl/forms/BlEDnxgsT4aJ1Jke2. If you have
any questions please email s856711@student.knoxschools.org

Quote of the day from former Secretary of State John Kerry (he was
Senator Kerry when he made this speech):
Remember
the hours after September 11th when we came together as one . . . It
was the worst day we have ever seen but it brought out the best in all of us.
