Attention
Freshmen: If you did not receive your school planner on Monday in your digital
lab, please see Mrs. Griggs in Room 208 this week.
·
Gryphons, this is the last week to
order your yearbook for the cheapest price of the year! Make sure to order
yours for $55 (seniors $50) before the end of the day on Friday to save up to
$25. The price WILL go up, so make sure to order ASAP. Also, make sure to
follow @STEMYB on Twitter for all yearbook updates and information!
· Freshman
and Sophomores, if you need help catching up on some school work, drop by the
STEM space Wednesday mornings at 8:15 to meet with students in the National
Honors Society who can help you out! We'll have students representing each
subject, even classes like Latin and AP Human Geography!
· Looking for that activity that rounds out your high
school resume? Want experience in
banking? Seeking to put those math courses to use? Apply to be a student worker at the Gryphon
branch of the Y-12 Federal Credit Union!
Any grade can apply. Deadline is
this Friday, Sept 14. Email Mr. Griffin
(derek.griffin@knoxschools.org)
for the application.
·
Today you will go to your regularly
scheduled Genius Hour and your teacher sponsor will help facilitate choosing
your lunch time, which will be reported to the office. Although there is flexibility in choosing,
there is none in when you should be in your activity and when you should be
eating. You may eat in the Commons, on
the Verandah or plaza or in a classroom where
there is a teacher present. Thank
you for your professionalism.
· Don’t
forget the Book Nook is open! Come to
the small hallway off the Commons where the Bookstore is located – it now
shares the space with the coffee shop we call “The Book Nook”. Still
looking for a worker for N2. If you have a digital lab and would like to work,
please email s757970@student.knoxschools.org
· Did you
miss the interest meeting about rowing? It’s not too late - let us
know you’re interested by filling out the interest form at https://goo.gl/forms/BlEDnxgsT4aJ1Jke2. If you
have any questions please email s856711@student.knoxschools.org
