GRYPHON MISSION BRIEFING
For Thursday, August 30, 2018 – L-day
School Mission – Boundless STEM: Learning & Leading
L&N Student Mission – #Own it!
School Ops:
· Students – you are reminded that our expectation is that
you follow our class schedule even without bells. Teachers have plans from bell to bell and if
you step out of class early you not only miss something in your class, but can
interrupt instruction in another.
Remember our teachers use all spaces to teach – even hallways! Be professional and timely.
· All students – you will receive a separate email with
directions for backing up your computer.
You need to prepare, we will be reimaging all 10 – 12th grade
computers (unless you just got it this year) beginning next Tuesday. Here is the schedule – you will be without
your computer for up to 24 hours. They
will be delivered back to you as quick as we can get them ready for you. This is not optional – it is required by the
system.
o
Sophomores will be taken up Tuesday and
Wednesday, Sept 4 & 5.
o
Juniors will be taken up on Thursday
and Friday, Sept 6 & 7
o
Seniors will be taken up on Monday and
Tuesday, Sept 10 & 11
Watch your
email for more explicit directions.

over. Orders will be taken this week and next week! Don't delay! See below

·
A reminder to students with Digital Lab early dismissal permission
– you are to report to your assigned digital lab or sign out through the office. Once you sign out you must leave campus. Going anyplace else (plaza, another
classroom, etc.) means you are in an area without permission and that is
subject to discipline. Don’t lose your
privileges – follow our expectations!
·
Lost – a silver necklace with a turquoise-looking ring and
stone on it. Please turn in to office if
found.

· The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) at our
school is looking for one student from each grade level to represent their
peers at our monthly meetings. We're looking for reliable L&N STEM
Academy students who want to be more involved in our school and who
are willing to help support PTSA in decision making and upcoming events and
this is a great leadership role for your high school resume.
Here's what you need
to know:
o
PTSA meets the second
Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Can you meet at this time on
Tuesdays?
o
PTSA will need your
help to put on PTSA events. Will you make yourself available to
help?
o
PTSA will ask for
your opinion on issues and events that impact your fellow students.
Will you feel comfortable making your opinions known?
If you're interested
