participate in a writing workshop at UT with Mr. Bell, Austin Bradley won the Rhythm and Blooms guitar art contest with
the Dogwood Arts Festival, our NAHS students had a spectacular chalk walk entry
inspired by original art by Hope
Higginbotham, in Nashville, our NHD entries took many prizes (listed below)
and we had 2 teams qualify for nationals.
Also, one of our students took another step towards being an Olympian as
Emily Bretscher won a place to be
able to compete in the Olympic qualifier finals for a spot on the next Olympic
team for diving! Another diver, Jacob Siler placed 5th place
overall (in the country) in Synchronized Diving. So proud of all our students’ achievements
inside and outside the classroom!

· This Friday,
April 15, is the GLSEN Day of Silence. The Day of Silence brings awareness to
anti-LGBTQ+ bullying and harassment. The Equality Club will be handing out
stickers with one of two colors, one showing you're speaking and the other
showing you're not depending on your preference, to put on your shirt to show
your support for the cause Friday morning in the Commons. For more
information on the Day of Silence, please go to http://www.dayofsilence.org.
·
Last Thursday afternoon our Boys’ Tennis team hit a milestone as they
locked up the first ever regular season District Championship! When you see Coach Orrick, Coach Duggan, or
any of the players, be sure to congratulate them!
· One of our video
students, Alli Lapps, has had her work accepted into a national
competition. Please visit this link http://theaudienceawards.com/films/colorado-revealed-71995 to view and vote for her video. You will have to create a free account on the
