GRYPHON MISSION BRIEFING
For Friday, April 29, 2016 – “N” classes
TNReady Algebra I and US History Testing Day
2015-16 L&N Student Mission – Own it!

School Ops:
·      Today is TNReady testing for Algebra I and US History.  Find your Algebra I or US History class in the table below to see where to report at 9:30.  Bring a pencil.  Do not be late!

·      Road closure during pick up time this afternoon! World’s Fair Park Drive through the park will be closed from Clinch Avenue to the circle portion of WFP Drive on the south end from 2:30pm until 11:30pm.  Please arrange for alternate pick up location for the afternoon!

·      Big congrats to our Boys’ Tennis team – they won the Division I District A-AA Championship last night!

·      Come see the ultimate frisbee team this Saturday at Victor Ashe Park play in the City Tournament! Games start at 9:00 AM. Email Jeremiah Branson with questions.

·      SENIORS are reminded to complete the Senior Exit Survey by next Friday, May 6.  This was sent to you by Mrs. Basner in email yesterday, here’s the link again: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1t0L6j5nC9QsVxlhlLpScyLNVZBLEDH_H23Lxm9Uvn10/viewform

·      Y-12 Federal Credit Union is now accepting applications for student volunteers to work at the Golden Gryphon Credit Union (located in the Commons) on Wednesdays and Fridays during Genius Hour for the 2016-2017 school year.  This is a great opportunity for students looking to earn work experience or volunteer hours, and student volunteers over the age of 16 are eligible to apply for a paid internship at a Y-12 branch. Come by and talk to current students involved with the credit union during lunch to learn more about it! Pick up an application from the folder on the door of Room 215.

·      *STEM shirts are now available!  This shirt was designed by STEM student Jessica Motto and is available as a short sleeve, long sleeve or hoodie.  Long sleeve and hoodie orders will be available for pickup in the beginning of May. (ptsalnstem.weebly.com/fundraiser)
