League Convention held in Memphis, TN. They placed 3rd overall in their
division with many top 5 finishes. Sydney

and 4th in the Mythological Costume Contest. Emmanuel Sosa-Cruz placed 1st in English Oratory. Judy Thomas placed 4th in Reading
Comprehension. Anna Ward placed 4th

over the course of the year truly paid off!
·
Congratulations to the Ethics
Bowl team of Justin Cross, Katlynn
Armstrong, Max Mylchreest, Mattie Collins, Chase Compton, and Madeline Lonas for their fantastic
performance at the National High School Ethics Bowl at UNC Chapel Hill this
past weekend! The team easily made the quarterfinals with 3 wins, 1 tie, and no
losses. The victories were against teams from Portland, Oregon, St. Petersburg,
Florida, and prep school Phillips Exeter Academy of New Hampshire. The team
bowed out of the competition on a split-decision by the judges in a match
against East Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This was by far the best performance
of any school from Tennessee in the 4 years that the event has been held, and
caps off a great year for the team. Well done Gryphons and looking forward to
next year!
· Congrats to our
Water Polo team (club team)! They had
their first win of the season this weekend, beating Bearden, 8 – 7!! Way to to!
